They started many energy-saving activities at school and they made this school a better place. So far, they have helped t

They thought those were the most difficult and dangerous animals to hunt on foot.But British photograp

10、her Graeme Green thinks its time to give the Big Five a new meaning. He wants to use photography to show some of the worlds most beautiful animals.Thats why in April 2020, Green started a project the New Big Five. He asked people a question: what five animals would you most like to take a photo of o

11、r see in a picture? He wanted them to write their answers down. More than 50,000 people took part in choosing the New Big Five.The result came out in May 2021. Elephants and lions are still on the list. Gorillas, tigers and polar bears joined the group. They took the place of rhinos, leopards and Af

Green hopes the New Big Five can help people care about wild animals around the world.Special Rule on EscalatorsIn Japan, many people get hurt as a result of walking on escalators every year. So Saitama, a place to the north of To

13、kyo, made a special rule. It doesnt let people walk up and down escalators.From October 1, 2021, all escalator riders in Saitama must stand still while the escalators are moving. The new rule helps to stop people from falling and hurting themselves.People living in different parts of Japan use escal

14、ators differently. In some places like Osaka, people stand on the right side of the escalator and walk on the left. But in other places like Tokyo, the right side is used for walking and escalator riders stand on the left. This is not safe when people want to walk on escalators in Japan.The new rule

15、 in Saitama tells escalator operators to put up signs near escalators. The signs tell people about the rule. Operators will give people warnings if they break the rule, but wont punish them. Saitama is the first place in Japan to make such a rule.For the Country “We want to buy oranges for experimen

When he learned this, he decided to donate one box of oranges to them.“I cant do a lot to help our country, but now if I can, I w

18、ill do my bit,” said Chen. The next morning, Chen first sent the student one box of oranges. Later after learning that they needed oranges of different sizes, he then sent another five boxes. After getting the oranges, the student put her online chat with Chen on her schools website. The next day, m

21、o save animals. During the Australian wildfires, he used his special skill to save koalas. How did he do it? He could smell koala fur. When he found a tree with a koala in it, he would sit in front of the tree. Then people would follow him and save the koala in the tree. Because of what he did, Bear

22、 got an animal award last year. The award came from the International Fund for Animal Welfare.
