12、posed three hotels are all located in the Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area; and Jiuzhaigou is situated in the north of Sichuan Province and is known far and wide as a fairyland.” Its attraction lies in its simple, idyllic beauty; a fairyland, primitive and natural and still in its pristine state. With majesti

13、c and unrivalled emerald lakes, layered waterfalls, colourful forests, snow peaks and Tibetan folk villages, all blending in harmony with each other - it is natures jewel set into the mountains. Since the implementation of Chinas Great Western Development Strategy by the central government, Sichuan

14、has seized this historic opportunity to bring into full play of Sichuans advantages based on its actual situation. The resource-to-capital transition has been greatly promoted and the exploitation of tourism advantages has been accelerated. Tourism industry has become one of Sichuans pillar industri

15、es. Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area was listed by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) and other authoritative international organizations as (a) the World Natural Heritage;(b) the World Biological Circle Protection Zone;(c) the member of organization called “ Green Globe

16、 21” and ranked as one of the China AAAA National-grade Tourist Attractions by China National Tourism Administration. The place is honoured as “Wonderland of fairy tale” and “Fairyland on earth” in the world; it has become the worldwide well-known tourist attraction. These hotels are to be integrate

17、d into a multipurpose complex embracing conference, resort, dining, entertainment, leisure, relaxation, shopping and residential features, with a total floor area of 203,000 square meters. The lobby of proposed InterContinental Resort is about 10,000m with transparent glass structure supported by st

18、eel frame; the hot spring centre is also huge with over 10,000m. These facilities, together with the conference centre, various dining area & bar and the Ancient Qiang village, have formed a flower with big petals rooting in the green forest. Such many kinds of functions have already enabled the pla

19、ce becomes the permanent site to host two great international conferences of “Global Economic Cooperation Forum” and “World Environment and Development Forum”. MARKET INFORMATION4.1 Economic/Scenic Environment Jiuzhaigou is a wonderland in the Aba Tibetan and Qiang ethnicity autonomous prefecture of Jiuzhaigou County, Sichuan Province. It covers a total area of 720 square kilometres. High mountains and deep valleys and B

39、arrier Lake are what make Jiuzhaigou special. Jiuzhaigou got its name since there are nine ancient Tibetan villages in the ravine. Jiuzhaigou was listed in the World Natural Heritages in 1992.
