The snake, however, continued to dance slowly. It obviously could not tell the difference between Indian
4、 music and jazz!Lesson43 Over the South Pole 飞越南极In 1929, three years after his flight over the North Pole, the American explorer, R. E. Byrd, successfully flew over the South Pole for the first time. Though, at first, Byrd and his men were able to take a great many photographs of the mountains that
5、 lay below, they soon ran into serious trouble. At one point, it seemed certain that their plane would crash. It could only get over the mountains if it rose to 10,000 feet. Byrd at once ordered his men to throw out two heavy food sacks. The plane was then able to rise and it cleared the mountains b
6、y 400 feet. Byrd now knew that he would be able to reach the South Pole which was 300 miles away, for there were no more mountains in sight. The aircraft was able to fly over the endless white plains without difficulty. Lesson44 Through the forest 穿过森林Mrs Anne Sterling did not think of the risk she
7、was taking when she ran through a forest after two men. They had rushed up to her while she was having a picnic at the edge of a forest with her children and tried to steal her handbag. In the struggle, the strap broke and, with the bag in their possession, both men started running through the trees
8、. Mrs Sterling got so angry that she ran after them. She was soon out of breath, but she continued to run. When she caught up with them, she saw that they had sat down and were going through the contents of the bag, so she ran straight at them. The men got such a fright that they dropped the bag and
9、 ran away. The strap needs mending, said Mrs Sterling later, but they did not steal anything.Lesson45 A clear conscience 问心无愧The whole village soon learnt that a large sum of money had been lost. Sam Benton, the local butcher, had lost his wallet while taking his savings to the post-office. Sam was
10、sure that the wallet must have been found by one of the villagers, but it was not returned to him. Three months passed, and then one morning, Sam found his wallet outside his front door. It had been wrapped up in newspaper and it contained half the money he had lost, together with a note which said:
11、 A thief, yes, but only 5o per cent a thief! Two months later, some more money was sent to Sam with another note: Only 25 per cent a thief now! In time, all Sams money was paid back in this way. The last note said: I am 100 per cent honest now!lesson46 Expensive and uncomfortable 既昂贵又受罪When a plane
12、from London arrived at Sydney airport, workers began to unload a number of wooden boxes which contained clothing. No one could account for the fact that one of the boxes was extremely heavy. It suddenly occurred to one of the workers to open up the box. He was astonished at what he found. A man was
13、lying in the box on top of a pile of woollen goods. He was so surprised at being discovered that he did not even try to run away. After he was arrested, the man admitted hiding in the box before the plane left London. He had had a long and uncomfortable trip, for he had been confined to the wooden b
14、ox for over ten hours. The man was ordered to pay &345 for the cost of the trip. The normal price of a ticket is &230 !Lesson47 A thirsty ghost 嗜酒的鬼魂A public house which was recently bought by Mr Ian Thompson is up for sale. Mr Thompson is going to sell it because it is haunted. He told me that he c
15、ould not go to sleep one night because he heard a strange noise coming from the bar. The next morning, he found that the doors had been blocked by chairs and the furniture had been moved. Though Mr Thompson had turned the lights off before he went to bed, they were on in the morning. He also said th
16、at he had found five empty whisky bottles which the ghost must have drunk the night before. When I suggested that some villagers must have come in for a free drink, Mr Thompson shook his head. The villagers have told him that they will not accept the inn even if he gives it away. Lesson48 Did you wa
17、nt to tell me something? 你想对我说什么吗?Dentists always ask questions when it is impossible for you to answer. My dentist had just pulled out one of my teeth and had told me to rest for a while. I tried to say something, but my mouth was full of cotton-wool. He knew I collected birds eggs and asked me whe
18、ther my collection was growing. He then asked me how my brother was and whether I liked my new job in London. In answer to these questions I either nodded or made strange noises. Meanwhile, my tongue was busy searching out the hole where the tooth had been. I suddenly felt very worried, but could no
19、t say anything. When the dentist at last removed the cotton-wool from my mouth, I was able to tell him that he had pulled out the wrong tooth. Lesson49 The end of a dream 美梦告终Tired of sleeping on the floor, a young man in Teheran saved up for years to buy a real bed. For the first time in his life,
20、he became the proud owner of a bed which had springs and a mattress. Because the weather was very hot, he carried the bed on to the roof of his house. He slept very well for the first two nights, but on the third night, a storm blew up. A gust of wind swept the bed off the roof and sent it crashing
21、into the courtyard below. The young man did not wake up until the bed had struck the ground. Although the bed was smashed to pieces, the man was miraculously unhurt. When he woke up, he was still on the mattress. Glancing at the bits of wood and metal that lay around him, the man sadly picked up the
22、 mattress and carried it into his house. After he had put it on the floor, he promptly went to sleep again.Lesson50 Taken for a ride 乘车兜风I love travelling in the country, but I dont like losing my way. I went on an excursion recently, but my trip took me longer than I expected. Im going to Woodford
23、Green, I said to the conductor as I got on the bus, but I dont know where it is. Ill tell you where to get off, answered the conductor. I sat in the front of the bus to get a good view of the countryside. After some time, the bus stopped. Looking round, I realized with a shock that I was the only pa
24、ssenger left on the bus. Youll have to get off here, the conductor said. This is as far as we go. Is this Woodford Green ? I asked. Oh dear, said the conductor suddenly. I forgot to put you off. It doesnt matter, I said. Ill get off here. We are going back now, said the conductor. Well, in that case
25、, I prefer to stay on the bus, I answered.Lesson51 Reward for virtue 对美德的奖赏My friend, Herbert, has always been fat, but things got so bad recently that he decided to go on a diet. A short while ago, my sister helped me to carry one of my old bookcases up the stairs. She went into my room and got a big surprise when she saw a

31、. Since then, they have been trying to find out how the fire began. Forest fire are often caused by broken glass or by cigarette ends which people carelessly throw away. Yesterday the firemen examined the ground carefully, but were not able to find any broken glass. They were also quite sure that a
32、cigarette end did not start the fire. This morning, however, a fireman accidentally discovered the cause. He noticed the remains of a snake which was wound round the electric wires of a 16,000-volt power line. In this way, he was able to solve the mystery. The explanation was simple but very unusual
33、. A bird had snatched up the snake from the ground and then dropped it on to the wires. The snake then wound itself round the wires. When it did so, it sent sparks down to the ground and these immediately started a fire.Lesson54 Sticky fingers 粘糊的手指After breakfast, I sent the children to school and

41、于河南省东部,黄河故道南侧。东临京九沿线重要城市商丘,西壤七朝古都开封,南望重镇周口,北接“牡丹之乡”荷泽,陇海铁路、310国道、商开高速公路横贯全境。某具有悠久的历史和灿烂的文化,是文哲大师庄周和南朝才子江淹的故里,中州四大名寺之一的白云寺、春秋时齐恒公九会诸候的“葵丘会盟台”就座落在这片古老的土地上。全县辖18个乡(镇),84.4万人口,525个行政村,县域面积1222平方公里,其中耕地面积115.4万亩,背河洼地25万亩,素有“泡桐之乡”和“葡萄王国”之美誉。是全国首批平原绿化先进县,全国建设示范区、全国优质棉花、优质苹果生产基地,是河南省产粮大县,2008年,年产粮食65万吨。是一个典
42、型的农业大县、工业小县、财政穷县。近几年来,随着社会主义市场经济的发展,由于政府对养猪生产支持力度的加强,某某的养猪产业出现了良好的发展势头。全乡拥有l00头以上养猪大户196户,闫道口村被列为市级生猪养殖专业村,呈现出了产业化、规模化、生态化的态势,使生猪养殖呈现出周转快、效益高等特点。该乡已连续几年出台了一系列奖励政策,鼓励养猪大户进行规模化生产。较大地调动了养猪户的积极性。全国生猪生产形势总体向好。猪肉是我国民众最为喜爱的肉类之一,占国内肉类消费量的比重超过6成。作为世界最大的猪肉生产国,我国基本上是自给自足。今年猪肉生产达5970万吨,猪肉产品占世界总量的一半以上。然而人均猪肉消费量3
43、3.8千克,仅略低于香港地区、欧盟和台湾地区。近几年来,我国生猪生产质量稳步提高,规模养殖发展迅速,散户养殖稳定增长。畜牧业扶植政策推动产业发展。国务院、农业部、商务部、财政部等有关部门纷纷出台包括“补贴、保险、贷款”等各个方面的政策措施推动养猪生产,希望通过宏观调控平抑居高不下的猪价。例如这两年的能繁母猪补贴政策、能繁母猪政策性保险等。为推动生猪产业健康发展,我国还陆续出台了生猪大县奖励政策、生猪良补政策、生猪标准化规模养殖政策、良种繁殖我国大量进口猪肉的可能性不大。中国是一个生猪的生产大国,近十年来,我国的综合猪肉生产增长率为每年5.1%。目前仍然是出大于进,大量进口生猪的可能性不大。据海
44、关统计,中国也一直进口一定数量的猪副产品,也有少量猪肉进口。受国内旺盛需求影响,今年以来广东省猪肉进口持续高速增长,进口价格保持平稳。2011年生猪市场前景光明今后的供需矛盾将朝缓和的方向发展,考虑物价上涨因素的影响,生猪价将呈现走高的发展态势。虽说事事难料,但今年的行情是有波动性的,养殖的利润空间越来越小,健康环保养殖不失为一条出路,养好准赚钱!国家对家禽、水产等养殖业的扶植力度以及我国民众肉食消费的结构性调整都将对猪肉需求产生影响,这将对生猪养殖和猪价走势产生较为深远的影响。 总体上看,2011年生猪的养殖与供求形势仍看好,预计新一轮的盈利周期又将到来。三、项目建设必要性(一)有利于加快资
45、源开发,促进养猪业的快速发展。该项目的实施,将通过资金技术的投入,把传统的简单、粗放养殖向优质、高效、生态、规模化养殖转变,促进生猪养殖业的快速发展,加快现代畜牧业发展进程。(二)有利于农业结构调整,促进农业的可持续发展该项目的实施,变粮经二元种植模式为粮经饲三元模式,将大大推动农业结构调整;同时生猪养殖过腹还田,不仅为农田提供了大量的有机肥,减少了化肥施用量,降低了种植业生产成本,提高了粮食产产量提高种粮的比较效益,形成以农养牧,已牧促农,农牧发展的良性训环,促进社会主义新农村建设。(三)养猪业的发展,将有效带动屠宰、肉类、奶类和皮革加工业和第三产业的发展,实现产业延伸,扩大就业机会,富裕了
46、农民,增加的地方财政收入,为农业和农村经济的发展注入了新活力。第三章 市场需求预测 我国生猪产业经历了2007年和2008年的大幅波动之后,在2009年下半年开始出现可持续的向上发展的势头。从猪肉价格来看,自2009年6月中旬开始,我国猪肉价格已经从2008年的连续下调当中开始止跌反弹,到2009年第三季度猪肉价格已经出现了持续十多周连续上涨,从第四季度开始,节庆消费市场的启动对猪肉价格的上涨会起到强烈的支撑作用,猪肉价格的上涨会使生猪行业的利润趋于正常水平,为生猪行业新一轮的上升周期提供基础。从猪肉供给市场来看,一方面,自2009年2月开始,我国规模以上屠宰企业的生猪屠宰数量从月度环比数据来
47、看,总体呈现向上的趋势;从月度同比数据来看,更是比2008年的屠宰量出现大幅的增长;另一方面,2010年1-10月中国生猪存栏数量与2009年年底相比基本维持平衡,但能繁母猪存栏数量则出现连续的下降趋势,下半年生猪供给将存在一定的压力,促使生猪产业走出过剩的局面。 从以上数据来看,我国生猪产业有望于2011年迎来新一轮的上升周期,在配合2010-2011年全球经济逐渐走出泥潭和我国经济率先回暖的大背景下,本轮生猪的上升周期有望比以前来的更加的迅猛,也给生猪投资提供了更大的保障和机遇。近年来,随着人们饮食结构的变化,国内外对生猪的需求量不断上升,发展生猪养殖业具有广阔的发展前景。生猪价格快速大幅上涨,带动其他畜禽产品价格持续上扬,对城乡居民生活和宏观经济运行产生了一定的影响,引起了社会广泛关注。我国畜牧业生产由最初全国各地的分散生产,逐渐向适宜生产区域集中,目前,已基本形成以长江流域、中原和东北为中心的生猪产业带,以中原和东北为主的生猪产业带,以中原、西北牧区、西南地区以及内蒙古中东部及河北北部为主的肉羊产业带,以东部省份为主的禽肉产业带和以山东、河北、河南等中原省份为主的禽蛋产业带,以东北、华北及京津沪等城市郊区为主的奶业产业带。畜产品集中化程度进一步提高。 近几年来,随着社会主义市场经济的发展,由于政府对养猪生产支持力度的加强,某某的养猪产业出现了良好的发展势头。全乡拥有
