2、rvice in the preparation of beverages to customers and in accordance with beverage standards and procedures whilst taking a leading role in salesmanship and beverage creativity. 5、verage meetings as scheduled Delivers prepared training sessions in line with a departmental monthly calender Prepares for service by ensuring the departments:o Grooming is impeccable and in accordance with ICHG personal presentation standards o Equipment is cleano Equipment is sorted and storedo Gl
6、assware is polished o Requirements for special occasions are readyo Music is ono Lighting is ono Outlet is ready for service and guest comfort Carries out effective service by ensuring all staff are aware of their role in:o Greeting and seating guestso Explaining and up-selling daily beverage specia
7、ls o Processing food orders accuratelyo Using trays and tray jacks effectively o Quickly taking food and beverage orders o Ensuring payment methods are handled accurately o Ensuring working areas are cleaned and re-set quicklyo Ensuring the bar is cleano Regularly cleaning ashtrays o Conversing with
8、 Guests in relation to the food and beverage products Carries out effective beverage service by ensuring:o Beverages are up-sold and regularly replenished, abiding by responsible alcohol service regulationso Converse with Guests about wine, advising the types and styles of wine, taking wine orders a
9、nd serving wineo Promoting and selling cocktails to guestso Making and presenting cocktailso Coffee and tea is served hot and in accordance with standard Patron care standards are adhered to by ensuring:o Guests are advised on alcoholic beverageso The strengths of alcohol is advised and guests are a
10、dvised as to their effecto Compliance with legal provisions of local liquor codeso Level of intoxication of guests is assessed and appropriate action takeno Advise guest on the hotels policy of smokingo Monitor factors which interfere with the total experience of the guest Cellar operations are carr
11、ied out including:o Correct use of refrigeration systemo Effective operation of the post-mix syrups bulk dispense systemo Operating the beer reticulation systemo Adhering to stock control procedures Take appropriate action to resolve guest complaints Requisition bar items according to bar stocks Tra
12、in bar attendant, wait help and bus help in basic beverage knowledge and beverage service Complete spillage report and submit to Food and Beverage manager at the Conclusion of each shift Assist the Food and Beverage Manager to source and review outlet musicians Assist to promote the musicians Design
13、 promotional material which is aimed at increasing revenue, covers and profit for the Bar with the approval of the Food and Beverage ManagerHuman Resource Responsibilities Works with Superior and Human Resource Manager to ensure the departmental performance of staff is productive. Duties include:o A
14、ssists in planning for future staffing needs o Assists in recruiting in line with company guidelines o Prepares and administers detailed induction program for new staffo Assists in maintaining a comprehensive, current and guest focused set of departmental standards and procedures and oversees their
15、implementationo Ensures training needs analysis of Bar staff is carried out and training programmes are designed and implemented to meet needso Provides input for probation and formal performance appraisal discussions in line with company guidelineso Coaches, counsels and disciplines staff, providin
